I’ve also found two evidence-based articles by Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld and Diane Weber Bederman debunking the findings, allegations and conclusions in your mentioned-above publication, “The Canadian Islamophobia Industry in the Great White North.”

In her article dated February 13, 2023, “Major flaws in Jasmin Zine’s Islamophobia Industry book,” Dr. Ehrenfeld wrote, “[R]eviewing her chapter in question reveals dubious academic practices. The only “evidence” Zine relies on poses serious questions regarding her thesis. In light of the presented wealth of evidence, Dr. Jasmin Zine should be compelled to correct the misinformation in her book.”

Major flaws in Jasmin Zine’s Islamophobia Industry book

On March 30, 2023, Diane Bederman published an article titled “Time to question the credibility of Jasmin Zine’s book “The Canadian Islamophobia Industry: Mapping Islamophobia’s Ecosystem in the Great White North.”

Bederman wrote, “Based on my research, it appears that you violated Wilfrid Laurier University’s Policy for the Responsible Conduct of Research by, but not limited to, false allegations without establishing their validity, research misconduct, poor scholarship, which results in inaccurate findings or conclusions and providing incomplete, incorrect or faulty information, systematically failing to respond to media inquiries and to retract the misinformation even after being confronted with the facts.”

I couldn’t find any article or statement on your behalf rebutting the evidence-based research papers by Dr. Ehrenfeld or Bederman debunking your publication “The Canadian Islamophobia Industry.”

Dr. Zine have you published any statements or corrections in an attempt to refute the allegations, regarding substandard slipshod scholarship, as mentioned earlier against you?

1. Dr Zine: Does the Canadian Muslim community’s spontaneous outburst of joy and exuberant support for the October 7^th attack contribute to Islamophobia or is it a symptom of or a response to Islamophobia?

• Dr. Zine: Does the sermon given by an Imam in a Quebec Mosque (There is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him.) represent the true teachings of Prophet Mohammad PBUH?
• Dr. Zine: Did anyone fact check your book, The Canadian Islamophobia Industry, prior to publication? Diane Biderman sent you many media inquiries about these facts. Why did you not respond?
• Dr. Zine: Do you consider the translation, of the book Garden of the Righteous – Riyad as-Salihin, available on the ICNA Canada website, to be slanted?
• Dr. Zine: Do you accept as authentic that certain Hadith in Garden of the Righteous- Riyad as-Salihin instruct Muslims to use violence in an offensive manner to spread Islam?
• Dr. Zine: Did the scissors hoax in January 2018 affect the understanding that most reported hate crimes against Muslim prove to be a hoax? Did this contribute to Islamophobia or was it a symptom of Islamophobia?

1. Dr. Zine: Does imam Adil Charkaoui legitimately represent the views of the Muslim community in Quebec?
2. Dr. Zine: Imam Abdool Hamid and Bilal Philips’ advocate for the implementation of sharia and a Muslim takeover a result of Islamophobia or is it the will of Allah?
3. Dr. Zine: Is Mufti Iqbal al-Nadvi, an ex-president of CCI, a legitimate mainstream Islamic religious authority in Canada?
4. Dr. Zine Does “racist logic” apply only to Islam as the victim or can “racist logic” be applied to what the Yazidi suffer?
5. Dr. Zine: When Canadian Imam Sheharyar Shaikh tells Canadians that Islam mandates death for the apostate is he propagating disinformation, Islamophobia or authentic Islam?

1.  Dr. Zine: According to your PhD, Islamic female face veiling was codified in Muslim scholarship in the 9^th century. Imperialism began in the late 16^th century. How then could imperialism affect Islamic face veiling? If poverty is an issue, how do you explain that wealthy Muslim countries enforce mandatory hijab or face veiling?

1. Dr. Zine: Are the many Hadith that instruct stoning and amputating fueling Islamophobia or are they Islamophobic? Al-Bukhaari (6788) and Muslim (1688) narrated from ‘Aa’ishah

• Dr. Zine: What do you estimate is the percentage of women who want to remove the hijab but do not because they fear being murdered by their male relatives? Is this fear rational? Does this fear fuel Islamophobia?

• Dr. Zine: Mufti Rashid states that women need permission to leave the house. Is this ruling by Imam Rashid misinformation that fuels Islamophobia?
• Dr. Zine: Can interpretations of certain verses in the Qur’an contribute to Islamophobia?  
• Dr. Zine: Is it healthy for the emotional and psychological development of Palestinian children to call out for death and blood sacrifice at an Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas Jihad rally?
• Dr. Zine: Are imam Mraish’s seemingly transphobic statements made as a individual or a respected senior leader of the Milton, Ontario, Muslim community?

• Dr. Zine: The Canadian Council of Imams signed a letter denouncing homosexuality stating it is a perversion. Does the Canadian Council of Imams represent authentic Islam in Canada?

• Dr. Zine: Do you accept that Imam Karim AbuZaid is an Islamic theological authority?
• Dr. Zine: In your PhD thesis you outline the importance of Muslims safeguarding their Islamic identity through children. Does that include these teaching about jihad by the revered scholar Imam Jamil Zino?
• Dr. Zine: Do you agree with Imam Qadhi that a pious Muslim can become a violent jihadist? Is it fair to say that religiosity and the mosque can be a gateway to fanatic Islamic terrorism?

• Dr. Zine: Do you agree with Imam Soharwardy that violent jihadist Muslims justify terrorism with sacred Islamic scripture?

• Dr. Zine: These Canadian imams and Islamic texts are, according to your definition, promoting Islamic tropes that fuel Islamophobia. Why do they not appear in your Islamophobia study?

• Dr. Zine: Does the prayer al-Fatiha, those who have gone astray and have earned your wrath, create social division by otherizing the Jewish and Christian community?

• Dr. Zine: Do you agree with Imam Mazin Adhim that Muslims are mandated to be loyal only to Islam, Allah and the Muslim community?
•  Dr. Zine: Do you agree with Imam Abdool Hamid that Prophet Mohammad PBUH took over civilizations and implemented change? Do you agree it is the duty of all Muslims to emulate Prophet Mohammad PBUH?
• Dr. Zine: Do you support the modern liberal Muslim progressive reform movement?
•  Dr Zine: Islamic Scholarship Fund places Muslims in key positions to advance the Islamic position on all societal issues in America. How does this affect the understanding of the “trope” that Muslims want to take over?

• Dr. Zine: Is the rise of imams promoting the “Islam take over” trope coupled with the rise of misunderstanding Muslim terrorism in America, France, Britain, Germany and Sweden is what motivated these men to commit their wrong and misunderstanding acts of violence?

• Dr. Zine: Why did you omit MEMRI from your study on Islamophobia? Do you dispute any of MEMRI’s translations that are presented in this book?
•  Dr. Zine: Do you label this film Islamophobia because senior influential Imams are propagating Islamic trope and stereotypes? Or are the Imams themselves stereotypical?
• Dr. Zine: Why do you say Stephen Harper’s statement about Islamism being a threat to Canada is unqualified? Do you have access to security information or clearance that exceeds that of Prime Minister Harper?  
• Dr. Zine: What is the acceptable percentage of Muslim terrorist jihadist Canadians should tolerate for the benefits of diversity?
• Dr Zine: Do you agree Katherine Bullock, at Osgood Hall said, “Muslims wanting to live by Sharia is a normal point of view”?
•  Dr. Zine: Do you possess advanced degrees in Islamic theology that qualify you to proclaim that Canadian Imams “lack religious legitimacy.”
•  Dr Zine: Do you agree Hizb ut-Tarhir base their understanding of Islam on the Qur’an and Sunnah?

•  Dr. Zine: Should Canada follow the United Kingdom and designate Hizb ut-Tarhir a terrorist organization?
• Dr. Zine: Do you acknowledge Imam Mazin Adhim is a legitimate, respected religious leader of the Canadian Muslim community?
• Dr. Zine: Is Mr. Cleverly, UK Home Secretary. qualified to designate various Muslim groups to be a terrorist organizations?
• Dr. Zine: Is it the government’s first responsibility to protect Canada against misunderstanding Muslim Islamic terrorists or is it to not offend the Muslim community?
• Dr. Zine: Should Canada accept some culturally barbaric practices? Do you consider zero tolerance of barbaric practices extreme?

• Dr. Zine: Why did you attend the private event organized by David Nitkin on March 17^th, 2019? Do you consent to making public the files of the police investigation that you initiated with your accusation of assault? Did the Toronto Police caution you that making false accusations is a criminal offence?
